Our Story

Founded in New Zealand in 2012 by Kevin O’Sullivan and Dr Bruce Maunder, Nui was created to simplify global agricultural trade and create fairer, more competitive market outcomes.

Drawing on Kevin’s background in global financial trading and the launch of NZX Dairy Futures, the business was built around improving how buyers and sellers connect, participate, and respond to changing market conditions.

Today, Nui gives businesses direct access to live market activity and the ability to create their own competitive market environments, helping them respond faster to demand, strengthen pricing strategy, and make better commercial decisions.

Digital trade has evolved well beyond simply listing products online.

Over time, Nui has expanded alongside its customers across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia, supporting businesses operating in a wide range of market conditions, from high-volume commodity trade through to customer ordering, procurement management, and supplier engagement.
